John Travolta and Katherine Heigl will star in the upcoming romantic comedy “That’s Amore!”
Nick Vallelonga is directing the feature film, according to the entertainment news outlet Variety.
Palisades Park Pictures announced the project on Thursday, prior to the film’s sales debut at the Cannes Film Festival.
“Nick Venere (Travolta) is a modern-day Marty; he has never been married and his prime dating years are well behind him. He has never heard “I love you” and he believes he never will.
Nick Vallelonga is the film’s director.
“Patty Amore (Heigl) also has her share of issues. She is shy and introverted, and she has numerous uneasy tics and behaviors. Due to a secret from her past and her overprotective father, she has withdrawn from the dating scene.
Nick and Patty share an instantaneous connection after literally colliding upon one another. When these two emotionally damaged individuals endeavor to date, their families become involved, and the results are amusing, according to the official synopsis.
The crew is scheduled to begin production in August.
On the film, David Polemeni, Tamara Birkemoe, and Mark Damon serve as executive producers.
