A petition online seeks to evict Nicki Minaj and her convicted felon spouse Kenneth Zoo Petty from their residence.
Hundreds of people have signed a Change.org petition expressing concern about the 40-year-old rapper and her 45-year-old partner’s living situation in Hidden Hills, California, where the Kardashian and Jenner families as well as Kevin Hart, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and Jessica Simpson also reside.
Nicki is rumored to have purchased a S$26 million (US$19.5 million) mansion in the area in December, when the online petition began to circulate.
After Kenneth filed legal documents to update his address on the Megan’s Law website, more than 500 individuals have endorsed the petition in the past week, according to TMZ.
The couple’s neighbors’ petition signers are unknown.
So that the public can “better protect themselves and their families,” federal law mandates that authorities disclose information on registered sexual offenders.
The petition was created by a woman named Beverly Bardan, who claimed the couple’s presence would increase safety concerns and decrease the area’s value.
In California, Kenneth is serving one year of home detention for neglecting to register as a sexual offender.
In July 2022, he was also sentenced to three years of probation for the federal charge.
Kenneth was convicted of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl in New York in 1995 and was required by law to register as a sexual offender in that state.
Then, in October 2019, he relocated to California after marrying Nicki, with whom he had a son named Papa Bear in September 2020.
Nicki said on Instagram in December 2018 regarding the sexual abuse allegations against him, “He was 15, she was 16… in a relationship.” But go awf, internet, y’all can’t govern my life. y’all can’t even run y’all own existence.”
