The album cover for “Ngimoja,” whose title translates to “I’m good/fine,” depicts Tyler’s visage with a dark and light aspect. The producer asserts that the darker side reflects his despondency because his relationship failed and his music performed well.
He’s delighted to have discovered the light.
“The majority of my compositions, particularly for myself, are narratives. Since I view music as a form of narrative, I’ve always desired to create it.
The song “Mnike,” which means “give him/her,” ranked second on the Official South African Local Top 100 and International Top 200 listings. Tyler considers this to be his most pleasant song.
“It was a lot of fun to experiment with combining sounds and figuring out what would sound good if I added ‘Haike, haike’.”
Hip hop successes he produced include Dr. Peppa’s “What It Is” with Riky Rick, Lucasraps, and Chang Cello, and Cassper Nyovest’s gold-certified “Good For That.”
His second collaboration with Rick was “Ungazincishi,” which featured Focalistic. Tyler appreciates Rick’s efforts to promote him in the streets.
I was stunned by his confidence in me. Someone may see the vision and believe in something you are still constructing for yourself. He believed that numerous hip-hop performers may have imitated our sound.”
Tyler stated that he would have to wait and see, particularly given the prevalence of hip hop in the country.
I need to witness the evolution of hip hop. I’m still getting used to the Pretoria accent. I am experimenting and gaining knowledge.
Tyler’s “Banyana” EP with DJ Maphorisa contains the double-platinum singles “Izolo” and “Banyana.”
