CNN reported Monday that Jimmie Allen’s record company dismissed him.
According to CNN, BBR Music Group has ended its connection with Jimmie Allen. The label also removed Allen’s artist page.
After Allen was sued for sexual assault and harassment on May 11, CNN reported that the label stopped its association with him. On June 9, a new lady sued Allen in federal court in Tennessee for sexual assault.
The June 9 complaint, acquired by CNN, alleges that Allen sexually abused Jane Doe 2 in a Las Vegas hotel room in July 2022. Allen also allegedly secretly recorded the event.
According to CNN, Allen “raped and sexually abused” Jane Doe when she worked at Wide Open Music between 2020 and 2022.
Allen told Variety after the lawsuit.
“It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever,” Allen stated in May.
“I acknowledge that we had a sexual relationship—one that lasted nearly two years,” the statement said. She never accused me of wrongdoing and said she wanted our friendship to last forever.
After we broke up, she hired a lawyer to seek for money, which makes me suspicious. Her claims are inaccurate and hurtful. I’ve worked hard to create my career, and I’ll fight her accusations and take further legal measures to safeguard my reputation.”
On Monday, the women’s lawyer, Elizabeth Fegan, told CNN, “Since Jane Doe filed her case last month, we’ve heard from others who share similar experiences. Jane Doe 2’s petition shows me a clear pattern of activity. We want to demonstrate deception, manipulation, and force.
The legislation states that anybody who consented to sexual conduct can revoke permission at any moment. Stop equals no. Sexual assault occurs if one participant continues.”
According to online court documents, Allen and Alexis Gale filed for divorce before the first case.
After publishing “Bettie James Gold Edition” in 2022, Allen was nominated for a Grammy. He won the 2021 CMA for best new artist. Allen mentored “American Idol” in 2022 and performed on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2021.
