Jennie Kim of Blackpink is now resting in order to get better.
The singer had to leave the stage during the Born Pink tour stop in Australia that Blackpink was performing at over the weekend owing to her “deteriorating condition.”
“Jennie was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition,” YG Entertainment said in a statement, explaining the situation.
To all of the fans who have showed their support for Blackpink and those who attended the event, we would like to extend our deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. In light of the above, we respectfully request your cooperation and understanding.
The statement went on to say that Jennie had indicated her firm desire to continue with the performance till it was over.
However, in accordance with the recommendations of the on-site medical personnel, we did not waste any time in taking steps to guarantee that she would have sufficient time to relax and remain stable.
Jennie debuted in HBO’s ‘The Idol’ earlier this month.
In the final part of their statement, YG Entertainment said that Jennie, who is 27 years old, “assures that she will recover as soon as possible” and that they will “do the utmost to support Jennie’s speedy recovery.”
During a performance of “Lovesick Girls,” a fan filmed Jennie dancing alongside her bandmates Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo. The moment was recorded on tape.
Fans were yelling “We love you Jennie” when Jennie suddenly turned around and proceeded down the steps to depart the platform.
Additionally, the pop artist posted an apology on her Instagram Stories, writing, “Dear Melbourne Blinks, I am so sorry I wasn’t able to finish the concert on Sunday.
Right now, I’m putting out my best effort to get well. I cannot express how much your compassion and assistance mean to me. We are grateful to everyone who made it out to our event in Melbourne. Love you guys.”
October marked the beginning of Blackpink’s tour, which is scheduled to come to a close in August in the city of Los Angeles.
Jennie went to Cannes at the beginning of this month to promote her part in the newest season of The Idol on HBO. On Sunday, the second episode aired, and it was the first time that viewers saw Jennie in a supporting role.
The starlet received some straightforward but useful guidance from one of her Blackpink groupmates in the moments leading up to her big appearance at the yearly celebration.
“I don’t know what to expect, but Rosé was here last year and she told me, ‘Just have fun,’ so that’s the plan for today,” she said in an interview with WWD. “Just have fun.”
