A grand jury in the state of Texas has handed down a murder indictment against a guy who is suspected of shooting and killing the rapper Takeoff.
The hip-hop singer, whose full name was Kirsnick Khari Ball and who was 28 years old, was shot to death outside of a bowling alley in Houston in November of the previous year. Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, was arrested in December on suspicion of firing the deadly shots, and he is now facing a trial for his alleged involvement in the shooting.
Carl Moore, the attorney for Clark, has vowed that his client would be proven innocent by a jury, adding that the move taken by the grand jury today is not unexpected. We would like everyone to keep in mind that in order to get an indictment, the prosecutor only needs to fulfill a very, very low standard of proof.

“When we get inside a courtroom and in front of a jury, where we will be able to put on our evidence and cross-examine the state’s witnesses – where the standard of proof is guilt beyond a reasonable doubt – we expect the jury to come back with a verdict of not guilty.”
Before he was tragically shot in the head and back outside the Houston bowling alley on November 1, at approximately 2:30 in the morning, the Migos rapper was celebrating with his uncle and bandmate Quavo.
After further investigation, the police determined that the celebrity had no weapons on him and was only a spectator when he was struck by gunshots. Two further persons were shot, but both of them managed to survive their wounds.
After paying a bail bond in the amount of one million dollars, Clark was freed from the Harris County Jail in January. Since then, he has been subject to home arrest while wearing a GPS ankle monitor that was attached to him.
