The actor Robert De Niro just became a parent.
While promoting his impending role as a father in the upcoming comedy film About My Father, the 79-year-old actor discussed his own family in an interview that was published on Tuesday by ET Canada.
During the course of their conversation on Robert’s experiences as a parent, the interviewer mentioned, “I know you have six kids,” to which Robert responded, “Seven, actually.”
“I just had a baby,” he said to her.
Robert did not disclose any other information, including the identity of the child’s mother. The information was validated by his agent.
The actor who played Taxi Driver shared his thoughts on the connections he shares with his offspring at another point in the discussion.
He told me, “You know, there are times when my children disagree with me, and they do so respectfully.” My daughter Helen, who is 11 years old, may be difficult at times, and I find myself in conflict with her. Even though I admire her, you should know this. And now my youngest, who will be followed by others in the future. On the other hand, that is how it is.”
Robert has gone through the marriage process twice. He and his first wife, Diahnne Abbott, are co-parents to their children Drena and Raphael. He and his second wife, Grace Hightower, are co-parents to their children Elliot and Helen.
The connection that the Hollywood legend has with Toukie Smith resulted in the birth of his identical twin boys, Aaron and Julian.
