Mark Wahlberg is known for his rigorous training program and health focus. He told Fox News Digital that he occasionally drinks despite his 3 a.m. exercises.
While promoting his Flecha Azul tequila brand at On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina in Las Vegas, Wahlberg discussed health in a new interview. Flecha Azul is used in the restaurant’s “Marky Marg.”
Tequila is the healthiest. Wahlberg recommended tequila if you drink booze. He said Flecha Azul sells “authentic, premium Mexican tequila” with “no additives, no preservatives.”
Wahlberg was “a big wine guy,” but wine contains a lot of sugar and makes people drink more liquid, whereas tequila makes him “good to go the next day” after drinking it neat.
Mark Wahlberg on health and faith.
After drinking tequila, he performs “a lot less cardio” in the morning, but “it’s definitely the most healthy alternative when it comes to fitness for sure.”
Wahlberg values fitness. On the day we chatted, he had gotten up at 3 a.m., worked out, read scripts, and had “prayer time.”
“People always say ‘the early bird gets the worm,’” he remarked. I will prioritize rest and healing. If I wake up at 3, I’ll go to bed at 7.
He also talked about the “cold plunge challenge” he posted on Instagram, when he plunged into an ice bath “as cold as I’ve ever felt in my life.” It reduces inflammation and improves blood flow.
“I was challenging myself to get into that freezing box of ice water,” he said. It’s healthy, especially in the morning. It boosts recuperation, although 38 degrees is cold.”
Wahlberg also discussed his beliefs.
“My faith gives me everything good and positive in life.” “When I put my faith and focus on God, good things happened for me,” he stated.
“And even when they didn’t, it provides you the coping abilities to deal with unavoidable things like loss and failure and those things. My faith and family are my life’s most significant things.”
Wahlberg and his family relocated to Las Vegas.
“My kids are doing fantastic,” he said. I wish I’d moved sooner. I pursued my career in LA. To put people in a position to pursue their interests is the correct thing to do, and it’s long overdue.”
“No, I don’t think that would be something that my wife and my kids would be open to doing,” he remarked of a reality program featuring his family. When we did, whether it was “Wahlburgers” or “Wahl Street,” we focused on developing a business and family.
“We showed some family life. However, working with family members may be difficult. It united us. My wife and kids don’t like that.”
