Jake Owen unveils four new tracks from “Loose Cannon” 2023

Jake Owen is giving fans a preview of his seventh studio album Loose Cannon today, just in time for Memorial Day weekend. The four-pack preview contains “Hot Truck Beer,” “Solo, Solo,” “Nothing,” and his upcoming country radio hit, “On The Boat Again,” released nationwide on Tuesday, May 30.

The album opens with “Hot Truck Beer,” a song about not altering your adolescent years and absorbing life’s lessons with “cool cigarettes and hot truck beer.” “Solo, Solo” is a breakup hymn about drinking alone with a hilarious spin on the “solo” cup.

“Nothing” begins with The Andy Griffith Show’s whistling theme music and describes the joy of relaxing and realizing you need nothing more.

The preview set concludes with “On The Boat Again,” which adapts Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again” chorus for boating season and crashes onto radio airwaves nationwide as “modern country’s resident beach king” (Taste of Country) begins the 2023 season.

Owen will perform “On The Boat Again” on ABC’s Good Morning America on Memorial Day and headline a pop-up event at The Rockaway Hotel in New York City that evening to preview the new album.

Register here. Owen will perform at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday (5/27) after the Coca-Cola 600 qualifying and ALSCO Uniforms 300 Xfinity Series.
