Actor Mike Batayeh, best known for his role as laundromat manager Dennis Markowski on the critically acclaimed series ‘Breaking Bad,’ passed away recently. The entertainment community is in mourning over his passing. The gifted actor had a heart attack at the age of 52, which ultimately led to his death.
According to aceshowbiz.com, the actor’s family has revealed that he passed away on June 1 after a heart attack when he was at his home in Michigan. The actor was reportedly sleeping when he had the incident.
According to Mike’s sister Diane, who spoke with TMZ, her brother’s passing “was very sudden, as he didn’t have a history of heart issues.”
His family released a statement on their behalf saying, “He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many.”
On the AMC series “Breaking Bad,” Mike portrayed the role of manager Dennis Markowski of the Lavanderia Brillante laundry, which was played by Giancarlo Esposito.

The actual meth lab that Walter White (Bryan Cranston) controlled was hidden behind a legal company front in the form of a laundry.
Mike’s other television credits include ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,’ ‘Battle Creek,’ ‘CSI: Miami,’ ‘Jessie,’ and ‘Everybody Loves Raymond.’ He is most known for his role on ‘Breaking Bad,’ though. In addition to that, the comedian was included in the film ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ in the role of a voice actor.
After learning the tragic news, a number of Mike’s coworkers paid tribute to him in various ways. One of these was the friend and fellow Hollywood filmmaker Rola Nashef, who lamented the passing of Mike Batayeh on Facebook, writing, “A devastating loss of a huge life — Mike Batayeh, you were everybody’s friend.”
“Everyone is included in this. “There isn’t a person that I introduced you to or a waitress that took our order whom you didn’t make laugh, think, inspire, and root for,” the director said. “Not even the waitress who took our order.” “You wanted there to be victory for all of us. I simply cannot trust this information.”
Rola continued by saying, “Your sense of humor, along with your talent for the stage, screenwriting, television, and film, was brilliant, outrageous, and fearless.”
“I pray so hard for your sisters, nephews, nieces, and cousins, as well as for our entire community, who will always feel the impact of your death. May you rest in peace, dear Mike; you’ll always be my buddy.”
Yorg Kerasiotis, who appeared alongside Mike in the film ‘Detroit Unleaded’ in 2012, paid tribute to Mike in a letter by saying, “You were the superstar we always admired and one of the funniest men I’ve ever known.”
