Halsey has published an updated version of “Lilith” featuring BTS vocalist Suga. This is the third collaboration between Suga and Halsey, following “Boy With Luv” and “Interlude”.
The new version of Lilith is for the video game Diablo IV, and the vocalists revisit ‘chaos and corruption’ while channeling their demonic energies.
“We both grew up playing the games & I’ve always wanted to do a concept with SUGA with this type of dark mythology,” Halsey wrote on Twitter.
On Instagram, the singer wrote, “Collaborated with @agustd of @bts.bighitofficial on a reimagined version of Lilith for the #DiabloIV anthem, and it goes extremely hard… @PlayDiablo.
Halsey and Suga go dark for Lilith 2.0.
We both grew up playing the games, and I’ve always wanted to collaborate with SUGA on a concept involving this sort of grim mythology, so it was a no-brainer, honestly. “EXTREMELY ILL AND NOW AVAILABLE, CHECK IT OUT!!!”
The vocalists’ shared music video is reminiscent of an enigmatic, dark drama. Halsey first appears in the video game Diablo IV as Blessed Mother Lilith. She is seen wearing a black robe and bearing a gothic appearance. Suga joins her halfway through the song and continues it.
“This anthem for Diablo IV is a beautiful culmination of Halsey and Suga’s passion for the world of Diablo and what it represents,” said Rod Fergusson, Diablo’s General Manager at Blizzard Entertainment.
Their reinterpretation of Halsey’s ‘Lilith’ from all aspects — as a sound, a piece of art, and a story — immerses you in the desperate world of Sanctuary and the resolute spirit required to fight your demons in whatever guise they may take.”
